Hanoi (VNA) – Agricultural specialties from some provinces are sold on the Sendo e-commerce platform, marking the first time that cooperatives and farmers put their products directly for sale in the digital environment.

The program, co-organized by Sendo and the Vietnamese e-commerce and digital economy agency (IDEA) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), enables cooperatives and farmers in Bac Giang, Hai Duong, Vinh Long, Dak Lak and Son La provinces to sell their products directly to consumers, without intermediaries , thus guaranteeing competitive prices and freshness.

The products for sale are all seasonal such as plums from Son La, avocados from Dak Lak, lychees from Bac Giang and Hai Duong, and purple sweet potatoes from Vinh Long.

By participating in this program from June 21 to 26, farmers will receive advice from Sendo staff on how to package and present their products via live streaming so that they can gradually use e-commerce as a distribution channel. long-term.

Bui Huy Hoang, an official at IDEA, said the agency was working with e-commerce platforms, including Sendo, to help boost the sale of Vietnam’s agricultural products, and the efforts will benefit more products from all over the country in times to come.

The Ministry of Transport will also continue to coordinate with relevant ministries and sectors to organize other programs supporting the sale and branding of agricultural products, including those providing e-commerce training. /.
