Food security: the international company supports Nigerian agricultural enterprises

The show, which was the 7th in the Agrofood & Plastprintpack Nigeria series, was held from March 22-24 and was organized by German trade show specialists, Fairtrade GmbH.

Agrofood Nigeria 2022 brought together global technology leaders from 15 countries who showcased technologies and solutions suitable for the Nigerian and West African markets in agriculture, food and beverage processing, ingredients, plastics, printing and packaging.

Okunowski reiterated that the company is keen to support the country’s food security campaign by partnering with the country’s agricultural and food processing businesses.

“An example of this is our ongoing partnership with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) Business Incubation Platform (BiP) in collaboration with STIHL to bring mechanized agriculture closer to local farmers.

“We do this by providing high quality agricultural tools and equipment as we believe this will go a long way in supporting Nigeria’s food security campaign,” he said.

According to Okunowski, the company has over the years worked in synergy with Nigerian companies and its partners STIHL GmbH to promote mechanized farming that is easily accessible to farmers.

He said that C. Woermann took the opportunity of the exhibition to engage with partners, customers and other stakeholders in the agriculture, food processing and manufacturing value chain to support industrialization as well as the supply of authentic and quality products in the country.
