RESPEC Announces Russell Persyn as Senior Vice President of Water and Natural Resources | News

SAN ANTONIO, January 18, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — RESPEC Congratulates Russell Persyn as Senior Vice President of Water and Natural Resources (WNR) January 1, 2022. He has worked in RESPEC’s WNR unit since 2015 and has been providing water resources engineering services since 1998. Russell works alongside other RESPEC leaders to drive our business forward.

Having grown up on a ranch west of San Antonio, Russell understood from an early age the importance of clean and accessible water. It is committed to protecting and equitably distributing this essential resource. While Russell was pursuing his master’s degree in agricultural engineering, Texas passed important water policies, which reinforced his decision to focus on water rights and prompted him to obtain his doctorate in agricultural and civil engineering.

“The theme of my career has always been water – whether it’s water resources and water quality or dealing with floods, storms and wastewater,” Russell said. “Each professional step has built on itself, and the perspective it has given me helps me respond thoughtfully to the needs of my clients, my colleagues and RESPEC.”

Jason Love, president of RESPEC and former senior vice president of WNR, knows Russell well. “I enjoyed working alongside Russell to establish REPEC in the Texas Marlet. He leads with his heart to build and support RESPECT teams that exceed customer expectations.”

Russell’s successes at RESPEC confirm that he is the right person to fill the position of Senior Vice President of WNR. It strives to ensure that everyone has all the relevant information to make informed decisions, whether related to water or work. In doing so, Russell embodies the RESPECT PACT which defines our employee-shareholders.

“People trust Russell’s forward-thinking approach and appreciate his willingness to roll up his sleeves and get things done,” Jason said. “Russell brings that to the entire REPEC WNR unit.”

At RESPEC, we know that empowering our employee-shareholders in their development and succession strengthens us, and we apply this approach in all our market sectors. Russell is another example of RESPEC’s commitment to employee-owner development and demonstrates his own commitment to supporting others.

“I try to serve and be a partner. That’s what’s rewarding. That’s what transforms,” Russell said. “RESPEC values two-way relationships, and that’s what I will seek to do as Senior Vice President of WNR.”

Please join RESPEC in congratulating our new Senior Vice President of WNR, Russell Persyn!
