Exhibition of agricultural products and local honey at Souq Waqif starts on Sunday

The administration of Souq Waqif announced the launch of the exhibition on agricultural products and local honey at Al Ahmad Square in Souq Waqif, in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality, from February 20 to March 1.

The exhibition is part of supporting Qatari products through a marketing platform that introduces the public to high-quality food products characterized by Qatari farms, as well as local honey-producing companies. , and provides an opportunity for traders, entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium-sized businesses to present their honey products to the public.

About 70 pavilions, representing many farms and apiaries, showcasing the national agricultural crops of vegetables, fresh fruits and honey will also participate in the exhibition.

On this occasion, Souq Waqif Director Mohammed Abdullah Al Salem pointed out that the exhibition provides an ideal marketing experience in an attractive tourist location for visitors, as Souq Waqif is a tourist destination for the State of Qatar due to its historical, artistic heritage and cultural importance, in addition to being an attractive region for the services it offers.

He pointed out that the Souq Waqif administration provides continuous support to local farmers through festivals and exhibitions to market their products in market places.

Al Salem added that the exhibition of agricultural products and local honey aims to market Qatari agricultural products, support local farms and attract the public to benefit from the exhibitions of vegetables, fruits and honey at prices under the supervision of the Ministry of Municipality.

The administration of Souq Waqif would like to respect the precautionary measures followed in the country to prevent the spread of COVID-19 through social distancing and the need for the Ehteraz app when entering the exhibition.
