Hanoi (VNA) – Measures to stimulate export agriculture and aquatic Products destined for China were discussed at a seminar organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) on November 11.

Participants at the seminar, which was held both in person and in virtual form, included officials from 36 localities across the country, Vietnam representative missions in China, and relevant MOFA and MARD agencies.

Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai, the Trade Counselor at the Vietnamese Embassy in China and the Vietnamese Consuls General in Kunming and Nanning said that a strong recovery in the Chinese economy and its policy of increasing agricultural imports are advantages for Vietnam to further stimulate exports in times to come.

At the same time, they pointed out that China is increasingly adopting quality and technical barrier requirements for agricultural and aquatic products, forcing Vietnamese companies to rapidly reform their production method and diversify. the main export products.

Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Le Minh Hoan said the most important thing now is to capture information about Chinese market demand and Chinese consumer habits as well as countries that export similar products to China.

He called on Vietnam’s representative offices abroad to help gather information, thereby helping national agencies to develop an effective strategy for promoting trade in agricultural production./.
